Newton Investment Management (Newton IM), part of BNY Mellon Investment Management (BNY Mellon IM), today announced the appointment of Jin Philips as Head of Strategic Relationships EMEA.
In this role, Jin will be responsible for directing Newton IM’s sales strategy across UK institutional and charity channels and EMEA partnered distribution relationships. Jin will report to Julian Lyne, Chief Commercial Officer at Newton IM.
Jin previously worked at Newton IM for five years, from 2008 – 2013, initially as Institutional Relationship Manager for Asia, Middle East and Europe, and latterly as Co-Head of North America. She re-joins the business from SecureInsights, a management consultancy, where she was a Consultant in the Client Strategy and Solutions business. Jin has also held roles in business operations and development at IDSS Holdings, as a Client Director at Barclays Global Investors’ institutional client group and as a Consultant at Cambridge Associates.
Jin brings a wealth of experience back with her to Newton IM and we’re excited to have her on board again. Our distribution success is closely correlated with a high level of collaboration and communication. In her previous roles, Jin has consistently demonstrated an ability to build long-term and collaborative working relationships with external stakeholders in our key channels. I am confident that Jin will bring added focus and momentum to our distribution efforts.
